STAINLESS STEEL 440 SQUARE TUBES DESCRIPTION:

904L is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. The grade is intended for use under severe corrosive conditions. It has been application proved over many years and was originally developed to resist corrosion in dilute sulfuric acid. It is standardized and approved for pressure vessel use in several countries. Structurally, 904L is fully austenitic and is less sensitive to precipitation ferrite and sigma phases than conventional austenitic grades with high molybdenum content. Characteristically, due to the combination of relatively high contents of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and copper 904L has good resistance to general corrosion, particularly in sulfuric and phosphoric conditions.

• Good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
• Very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
• Good resistance to intergranular corrosion.
• Good formability and weldability.

Square Tube Cutting	Products cut include Round Tube, Flat bar, Hex bar, Square bar, Tubing and Hollow Tube, Pipe, Angles, channels, Beams and Tees.  Thickness range is 1/16″ to 28″ diameter
Square Tube Production Cutting	Penn Stainless can provide production cutting for product diameters up to 4″.  We utilize Amanda Production Equipment to achieve these precision cuts with tight tolerances.
Square Tube Polishing	Products polished included all tubular products, with OD & ID polishing available, Round Tube, Square Tube, Hex & Flat bar, Angles, Uneven Leg Angles, beams, and other shapes.

ASTM A479	This specification includes cold and hot finished stainless steel tubes, including rounds, squares, and hexagons, and hot-rolled or extruded shapes such as angles, tees, and channels.
ASTM A484	This specification includes wrought stainless steel tubes, shapes, forgings, and billets or other semi-finished materials, except wire, for forging. The materials are available in four types of conditions.
ASTM A582	This specification includes cold or hot finished tubes, which are suitable for machining processes. This specification includes rounds, squares, and hexagons, from common types of stainless free-machining steels.
